Delivering moments that people remember doesn’t have to mean grand gestures. Holding the door for the next person coming in and telling them not to rush, a simple thank you when someone holds the door for you, or putting booties on your shoes before entering a house or business are all small things that cost you nothing but go a long way with others. Some other gestures cost a small amount but have an even bigger impact. OPC Pest Services makes sure to deliver as many impactful moments to the days of the people that live and work in their community as possible. Being a public health and safety company themselves, they also make sure to recognize the heroes among them, too. Recently, the team at OPC did both.
Jordan Johnson, Branch Manager of the Lexington branch, decided to take over a local coffee shop for a few hours during their busiest time. At A Cup of Common Wealth in downtown Lexington, he and a few of his teammates made sure to pass out business cards, brochures, and big smiles while greeting everyone with a hearty good morning and their first coffee paid for by OPC. They made connections with the local community that may not have known them before. They spoke to people face-to-face. And the coffee shop itself saw more new customers that day than ever before since Jordan and the brand posted and advertised about it on their social channels. Breakfast sales even spiked because the people that got a free coffee would buy a muffin or a breakfast sandwich instead. The shop owner was very grateful and even invited them to do it again – putting a date on the calendar right then and there.
Jeff Kinsley, Residential Sales Representative out of the Murray branch, went another way with delivering some kind moments. For First Responder Appreciation Day, he decided to take a dozen donuts to the Emergency Room crew at Murray-Calloway County Hospital and even left an extra dozen for them to take back to Ambulance services (many were out on calls already). They were happy with the kind gesture and were all smiles when he dropped them off. He also brought a dozen to the Murray State Police department. Donuts for cops – a little cliché? Nope. They loved it and even posted a big thank you to the branch on their social channels. The crew at OPC Pest Services knows what it takes to make a heroic impact in their communities – so Jeff wanted to make sure to recognize others that do so too.
We’re all in this together and it’s essential we recognize that. It takes a village may sound like an old saying, but it’s true. When we all come together, remarkable things happen. Even with small gestures like these. The team at OPC Pest Services knows that, recognizes that, and makes sure the community knows they can rely on them for more than just pest control.
