A Donation to St. Jude!

While McGee Pest Control, an OPC Pest Services company, donates to many charities and organizations, we can’t think of a better one to support than St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. And for the fifth year in a row, they have donated and provided their services to the St. Jude Dream Home^® Giveaway!

St. Jude hosts more than 40 home giveaways throughout the U.S. People buy raffle tickets to win the home or other prizes (yes, 40 people actually win a whole home!). McGee made sure the home given away that was local to them was protected from termites with a free termite pretreatment. As a bonus, all the proceeds from the raffle are donated to straight St. Jude.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. Such an important and worthy cause! That’s why McGee has donated and supported this charity for five years straight with no plans to stop.

At the end of the day, the team’s donation added up to just under one million dollars. We want to thank and commend McGee Pest Control for not only providing their important termite services free of charge, but for also raising funds that will definitely make a difference in many children’s lives. Kudos to the McGee team!
