We are all about putting people first. It’s part of everything we do. That includes teammates, customers, and the people who live and work in the communities we serve. Whether helping customers protect their businesses, supporting one another, or giving back locally, the team looks for meaningful ways to make a positive difference.
That commitment was on full display during a recent meeting, where several brands came together to welcome and train new commercial sales representatives. The intensive program focused on the tried-and-true “science of selling,” guiding participants through the entire sales process while sharing best practices and exploring real-world scenarios.
For pest control sales representatives, success means more than understanding the services they sell. It requires knowledge of the industries they serve, an appreciation for public health and safety, and an understanding of how pest issues can affect a customer’s reputation and operations. By focusing on the people behind each business, the team reinforces an important lesson: effective pest management is about protecting people, not just treating pests.
But the team’s focus on people doesn’t stop with employees and customers. They make sure to also make giving back to the community a regular part of their team meetings, finding meaningful ways to turn time spent together into a positive impact for others.
During this particular meeting, the sales team took time out of their busy schedules to stuff 50 stuffed animals for The Urban Food Movement (TUFM). Based in the metro Atlanta area, TUFM rescues surplus food and redistributes it directly to community members at no cost, regardless of income, background, or circumstance.
The organization was especially excited to receive the stuffed animals, which will be included in bags of food distributed to families during its upcoming Breakfast with Santa event. For children receiving those bags, the addition of a cuddly new friend can bring an extra measure of comfort and joy during the holiday season.
The activity was a natural extension of the team’s collaborative spirit. Just as the team works together to support customers and achieve business goals, they also come together to help make their communities stronger. Sometimes, making a difference doesn’t require a grand gesture. It simply takes people willing to give their time and work toward something bigger than themselves.
Incorporating charitable activities into these types of meetings creates opportunities for the team to connect with their communities while putting their shared values into action. Whether they’re supporting a local organization, helping families access essential resources, or finding small ways to encourage others, these efforts reflect a consistent commitment to caring for people.
Ultimately, their commitment extends beyond protecting homes and businesses from pests. It’s about building strong relationships, supporting teammates, and making a meaningful difference in the communities where we all live and work. When a team comes together with that purpose in mind, even 50 stuffed animals can help make the holidays a little brighter for many children.
Thank you to the entire team for making community giving part of their meeting and showing how working together, going the extra mile, and caring for others can create a truly meaningful impact.
