We provide the West Louisville area with superior pest control.

How We Handle Pests in Kentucky

West Louisville is comprised of nearly a dozen neighborhoods bordering the Ohio River, including Hallmark, Park DuValle, Parkland, Russell, California, Chickasaw and Shawnee among others. The neighborhood celebrates its strong African American heritage with two noted attractions: The Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and Muhammad Ali’s boyhood home.

The South End of Louisville is a neighborhood two miles south of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The neighborhood itself is bounded by Industry Road, the CSX railroad tracks, Central Avenue, Taylor Boulevard, Longfield Avenue, Compton Street, Thornberry Avenue, Colorado Avenue, Euclid Avenue, and Lincoln Avenue. The world-famous Churchill Downs horse racing track and Kentucky Derby Museum are in South Louisville.

All of these amazing facts about these sections of Louisville make it a tourist destination – but they also make it a haven for pest pressures. Bed bugs in downtown hotels as well as rats as a common city pest are not uncommon in Louisville and the many restaurants and local bars and pubs can be subject to flies, ants, and cockroaches.

Homes in both the South End and West End of Louisville have their own pest issues. Termites are a serious issue in Kentucky and the Louisville area is no different. Ants are always an issue in this part of the country, and so are moles. Anyone with a lawn in the Louisville area knows that. Homeowners and business owners in this area of Louisville both need a pest control company that understand the pests in the area, the area itself, and the pest treatments that will get rid of ants, moles, bed bugs, and any other pest that may be bugging you. That’s why they need the largest pest control company based in Kentucky – OPC Pest Services.

I purchased OPC’s whole home exclusion plan for $860. They were to come to my home on Friday, August 8th and fill all gaps, cracks and holes under the exterior house siding and front exterior overhang with Xcluder rodent control fill fabric and silicone. They were also supposed to replace all copper mesh and foam that was present with the Xcluder product and with silicone. What they did was rip out all the copper mesh from under the siding and replaced it with nothing leaving large gaps for rodents to enter. They also did not stuff the entire front overhang with the Xcluder or seal with silicone. Other gaps in the overhang that they did stuff were not even stuffed enough and were left with openings. The whole point of an exclusion is to prevent pest from entering your home. The whole point of using the Xcluder product is to block entrances and fill gaps, cracks and holes to prevent pest from entering your home. OPC did none of this. I paid them for an exclusion I was promised and did not get. Do not use them for exclusion. Save your money. You are better off doing it yourself. Oh, and they didn’t even touch the back wall, it still stuffed with copper mesh they were supposed to replace with Xcluder and silicone.

I called with my problem, Kayla was very thorough and patient, as I had what I thought to be a ton of questions. She gave me all the answers and. the info I needed to be 100% clear on what the service involved. She also went ahead and scheduled the return appointment out in the future, that for me and my schedule was great and I appreciated that. The technician, Chris, gave me a call (12:55pm) prior to arrival , expected window of arrival was 1pm-3pm, and was here at exactly 1pm! He inspected and treated all 4 units on the property and talked with each tenant as to what to expect as well as answered all their questions. He was friendly, informative, punctual, polite and left no evidence of him even being at the property, unlike most various technicians who come for a service call. I will never use another company. Lastly, the special Four Seasons Plus they offer is a great fit for any home I assume, but for us its a win win and look forward to seeing them every other month for 12 after this past visit! Thanks again Kayla, Chris and all that make OPC work!!!!

We have had a quarterly service contract with OPC ever since they shut down a severe ant infestation at a previous residence. Their employees are on time, polite, and highly skilled. Just what you want from a local pest control company. Our most recent service call was about a large hornets' nest. That was quickly and safely removed after we got a full explanation of the process from our technician Danny. OPC is the best.

The technician was very good . He explained what he was going to do and even some changes to my termite policy. None which was relayed to me by the office. Instead of 4 visits, it's is now 2 and why the change. Now the price is going up for less service.

They got me in the day after I called, which was unexpected but very much appreciated! A nice man named Jess was sent to do the job. He was very thorough, explained the process, and let me know the things that I needed to be doing for the next 2 weeks for aftercare. Fingers crossed that I don't need a follow-up! Thank you, OPC!
